"This feels a little weird—I don't really know how to start. My name is Jason Caston, well, that's my given name. Like most people, I go by several names: dad, brother, friend, son, and commonly known as Jabob. But my favorite name by far is husband. Stefanie is my favorite person, and I have the privilege of calling her my wife. The Lord has used our lives for His good work, and I have the honor of living out Aliyah. This ministry is special to me for many reasons, and I'll give you one example.Jealousy.As a husband, I have every right to be jealous of another man. But I have no right to be jealous of God. Still, I’ve found myself jealous of Him a few times, specifically because of the relationship He has with Stefanie. The reality is, I'm not supposed to be first in her life. I'm supposed to be second. Yet, the man in me struggles with that. Scripture teaches that I am to be the head of the household and to lead my wife well. But as a man, I don't fully understand jealousy. My instincts tell me I should be first. However, as a believer and as God's son, I realize I have no right to be jealous of Him. If I’m the head of my household, He is still the head of me. How can I be jealous of the One—Jesus—who could fill Stefanie's heart if I were gone? How can I be jealous of the One who created her? How can I be jealous of the one she spends most of her time with, and who freely gives her back to me? How can I be jealous of the God who gave her to me in the first place? Aliyah Ministry speaks to the soul and changes the way we think. It points us to God's way, not our own. The Lord cares deeply about how we think, feel, and respond to life. Through Stefanie and the Aliyah Ministry, He consistently points me back to Himself. I'm reminded not only that He should be first in Stefanie’s life, but that He should be first in mine as well. That’s just one way Aliyah Ministry has taught me."
