"Hey guys, my name is Kilder. To save you the headache, it’s pronounced Kill-Dur. Aliyah Ministry has helped me grow my relationship with God in unimaginable ways.

Coming from a Hispanic household, my dad was Catholic, and my mom was Christian. As a young boy, they would take my siblings and me to either church, hoping to find a middle ground. However, this always caused confusion for us and resentment between my parents. Ultimately, we stopped going altogether when I was around 12. They eventually divorced a few years later.

When I was 16 years old, my high school had an after-school program called S.O.S. All of my friends were going, so I decided to give it a try and join the crowd. That day, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. I honestly didn’t know what that looked like or what it meant, but the peace and love I felt that day were unimaginable. I knew it was something I needed in my life. But in the next few years, I was honestly just cruising through life, feeling lost and without a purpose.

Then, on July 4, 2020, I met my wife, Madison—the person the Lord had set aside for me from the beginning. Now, if you need to know anything about my wife, there are two things she absolutely loves: pasta and her aunt and uncle, Jason and Stefanie. This meant that more weekends than not, we were at their house.

While there, I was always in awe of being around them. You could tell they were completely in love, and it always made me wonder why my parents couldn’t be like that. Then God opened my eyes. My parents lacked the most important fundamental to a relationship: a strong and firm foundation with Jesus Christ in the middle of it.

Together, Jason and Stefanie have shown me how to be compassionate, how to lead with grace, and most importantly, how to put Christ first in every situation. Thanks to them, I am becoming the man and husband that God intended me to be."
